Pauline Findlay

Pauline Findlay is a poet, filmmaker, and chef. She was born in Trinidad, West Indies, and migrated to the United States as a young child with her parents.  Her debut collection MIRROR IMAGES includes poems and short stories. When not writing, you may find Pauline behind or in front of a camera. Her seedy characters come to life in the short films Wednesday, Men of the Holy Order, and Living Her Life on Broken Wings which can be viewed on YouTube.

She performed regularly at the Rimes of the Ancient Mariner reading series and is one of the original “Silver Tongued Devils.” She toured in Augusta, Georgia, and appeared at Augusta University, University of West Georgia, Women of Color, Fahrenheit Open Mic, and has been a judge for the Poetry Matters Project.

Pauline has been a featured poet at venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn. If you can’t find her at any poetry venues, she may be hidden away at the famous Enoteca Maria restaurant on Staten Island creating one of the exquisite culinary dishes from her homeland.

Ms. Findlay resides in Brooklyn with her daughter Kiya. She enjoys trips away from home visiting her son Charles and three grandchildren. Her best days are spent with family waiting for homemade bread to come out of the oven, eating it with strawberry jam, while watching the sunset.
